Pandora's Link

Pandora is a 17-year-old social media influencer living in New York City. She has everything she could ever want, a Starbucks down the road from her NYC penthouse, 507k Instagram followers, and tickets to all three days of Coachella 2022. She basically lives a perfect life.

What happens though when one day she receives a link that she thinks is an invite to a Dote girl influencer hang out in The Hamptons, but it’s actually something much worse. Someone, set on ruining her perfect, popular-bitch lifestyle sends her the link that only someone as gullible as her would open. The email says NOT to press it. The font’s huge and looks like an archaic internet explorer ad. But it promises more fame, and, well, Pandora clicks the box.

She’s clicked Pandora’s Link, opening the Seven Deadly Apps on her phone, subsequently locking her out of  every application except for seven. These seven each represent one of the deadly sins, making being an influencer almost impossible with the limited access, but also something she might actually not want as much by the end of it all.

Lust is Grindr. She is APPALLED by the messages she sees. She’s bi and wants the bi men, but tbh, she only dates fuckboys. She falls in love with Chad through it, somehow, and her kind best friend who tags along and tries to find out the source of the link is left mostly forgotten.

Pride is Instagram, but the catch is she can’t post, she’s stuck looking at hot bikini pics and vacations she wishes she could go to if she had the money needed from… being a damn influencer.

Greed is Depop. Sometimes the influencer gig doesn’t make the best money, and Pandora needs a side hustle, which comes in selling $5 baby gap sweaters from thrift stores on Depop and labeling them “Cute Y2K Sweater.”

Envy is Snapchat, and yet again, she can’t post, only watch her friends at massive ragers and get wasted while she’s stuck unraveling this mystery.

Wrath is Twitter. And she has to post ALL the time. Nothing else needs to be said.

Gluttony is Yelp, and as time progresses, she takes to writing nasty reviews. This app is arguably bringing out the worst in her as she complains about the lack of napkins at her deli. That her pizza made her gain half a pound because it was too good. The list goes on and on. It’s awful.

Sloth is MyFitnessPal, she can’t track exactly how many almonds she eats a day. It’s mortifying. She doesn’t know how many she has to put in her pockets to meet her calorie count.

With her rivals preying on her weak point, will she accidentally stumble her way out and into the light again like it’s Kim K Hollywood and she’s just spent too much money on stars, or will she end up as busted as a broke newbie on Club Penguin, unable to find who did this to her?
